Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a lovely school holidays and is ready for a fun-filled term at Barossa Children’s Playgroup. We can’t wait to build on the fun and sense of community we all have created for ourselves this year!! Below are some house-keeping notes, we hope to keep you informed this semester on our plans and opportunities throughout the year.

Volunteers: If feel you could help in any capacity or have a strength or skill to bring to our team we would love to talk to you – your thoughts and help are valued! We are always looking for people to help with; preparing activities, setting-up and packing-up, assisting with group times, planning events, fundraising.

Playgroup SA Family Membership fees: 

Half Year Fee $25

Term Fee: $18

We are Playgroup SA Affiliated. Playgroup SA supports our Playgroup in many ways, their comprehensive public liability cover and personal accident insurance whilst you and your children attend our Playgroup and it’s activities are very important. Weekly Cost: To help with the running costs associated with Playgroup we ask that each family pay $2 a week. This helps cover the cost of art and craft materials, printing, cleaning materials etc. Thank you for helping us to make Playgroup possible!

Artwork: Please don’t forget to check the tub under the ‘Welcome’ Table for any artwork that may belong to your child. Unclaimed artwork will be discarded at the end of term.

Group Time: We love ending the session with some songs, but to do this we need your co-operation. Thank you for your help in putting away toys, packing up the activity and washing dishes!

Snack Time: Please bring something healthy to share for morning tea such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, crackers, etc. This is a nut-free environment. If you forget – please still join us and share – you’re busy with a child, you can’t remember everything always!! Please also be aware that if your child wishes to take part in snack time we encourage them to be seated on a rug or at a table. (We are looking for a suitable mat at present). It is not an ideal situation to have children walking around, eating, dropping food etc – in the hall it creates a slipping hazard and poses a risk to those children who have allergies.

Finally: Please don’t forget to sign in at the start of each session and feel free to speak to Nicole or Rowena if you have any concerns, queries etc.
